The Monticello area is set to host a wellness expo in honor of Colon Cancer Awareness Month. The event, organized by the Jefferson & Madison County Departments of Health Chronic Disease Committee, will feature more than 30 vendors and offer free health screenings, disaster-preparedness information, giveaways, and more.

Administrator Kimberly Allbritton of Jefferson and Madison County emphasizes the importance of events like this expo during National Colo-rectal Cancer Awareness Month. The aim of the expo is to raise awareness about colo-rectal health and provide valuable information to the community. In addition to free produce giveaways and cooking demonstrations by Second Harvest of the Big Bend, attendees can also expect educational sessions on healthy living and wellness.
