Dean Dunnagan from the College of Health Sciences to be Recognized on April 10th

Tim Dunnagan: A Legacy of Growth and Expansion in the College of Health Sciences”.

The College of Health Sciences is honoring Tim Dunnagan, who has been stepping down as dean after 14 years of service, with a recognition reception. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 10 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Stueckle Sky Center’s Bronco Zone. During his time as the fifth dean of the college, Dunnagan led significant growth and expansion.

Under Dunnagan’s leadership, the college nearly doubled in size and launched three doctoral programs. He also established an advisory group comprised of current and retired CEOs and leaders in the healthcare industry to provide feedback and guidance on course development and major selection. Additionally, various programs were created and expanded under his leadership, including online offerings, a genetic counseling path, and multiple certificates designed for working professionals.

Following his departure as dean, Dunnagan will be taking on the role of special assistant to Provost John Buckwalter, focusing on new academic programming in health sciences. Joelle Powers has been appointed as his successor as dean of the College of Health Sciences. She will be the first female dean of the college.
