Texans Sign Second-Round Offensive Tackle Blake Fisher

Newly Signed Blake Fisher bolsters Texans’ O-line with Versatility and Depth

The Texans have signed offensive tackle Blake Fisher to a four-year, $6.595 million contract, which includes a $1.616 million signing bonus. This signing completes the Texans’ nine-player draft class, with other players including cornerback Kamari Lassiter, safety Calen Bullock, tight end Cade Stover, linebacker Jamal Hill, running back Jawhar Jordan, defensive end Solomon Byrd, defensive tackle Marcus Harris, and guard LaDarius Henderson.

Blake Fisher was selected as the 59th overall pick by the Texans and is expected to serve as a swing tackle behind left tackle Laremy Tunsil and right tackle Tytus Howard. However, he is versatile and may also see playing time at other positions along the offensive line. Fisher has experience starting at right tackle for Notre Dame in every game over the past two seasons and previously played left tackle. His addition strengthens the Texans’ offensive line and provides valuable depth at the tackle position.
