New Flag Football Team to Debut in Quincy this Spring

Holy Cross Pro Day Impresses NFL Scouts as Boston Brigade Plays Flag Football in Quincy

On March 21, 2024, former BSU quarterback James Cahoon made an impression on NFL scouts during Holy Cross Pro Day. Showcasing his skills and athleticism, he garnered attention from professional football teams.

Meanwhile, the Boston Brigade is set to make Quincy its home for its inaugural season. The team is a professional flag football team in the AFFL (American Flag Football League) and will play its home games at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium this spring. It is one of the first four professional flag football teams ever established.

The Boston Brigade will play its first home double-header on May 11 against the Nashville Nighthawks and Las Vegas Lucky Sevens at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets for these games are available on the team’s website. The eight-game season kicks off on April 27 in Las Vegas and wraps up on June 15 in Nashville, with the championship game set for June 22 in Dallas.

Another home double-header at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium is scheduled for June 1 against the Dallas Ocelots and Las Vegas at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., making it a perfect timing to be a part of Boston’s rich sports history with the recent announcement of flag football being added to the 2028 Olympics.
