‘Free Lunch Workshop on Business Leadership for Climate Change on Wednesday’

Empowering Business Leadership for Climate Action: A Workshop on State-Level Certification in Steamboat Springs

In Steamboat Springs, nonprofit Yampa Valley Sustainability Council and the Steamboat Springs Chamber invite business and organizational representatives to join a free workshop on “Business Leadership for Climate” from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM on Wednesday. The event will be held at the Routt County Health and Human Services Community Room (135 Sixth St.) in downtown Steamboat Springs.

As part of the larger Colorado Green Business Network, the Colorado Green Business Network of the Yampa Valley is a new program launched in the summer of 2022 that offers free technical assistance and environmental recognition to businesses. This second workshop in the series will focus on state-level recognition for businesses and how they can navigate the certification process.

During the workshop, participants will learn strategies for accumulating points towards certification, which will help set businesses apart as leaders in sustainability and cater to growing consumer demand for eco-conscious products and services. Lunch will be provided at the workshop courtesy of Hypnotic Chicken with energy bars from Bar-U-Eat. The event is open to everyone but registration is required at YVSC.org/yvsc-events.
